SynoptiXL Downloads

A pre-requisite to start with SynoptiXL, is to have a compatible Microsoft Excel version pre-installed on your Windows system (see FAQ more details on compatible Excel versions and OS).

Then it's just a matter of having the following SynoptiXL components:

1. A workbook containing one or more SLD worksheets plus some other pre-defined worksheets /Snapshots/, /Sequences/, /Interlocks/ and /Settings/ used by and compatible with SynoptiXL. These workbooks do not contain code and have extension .xlsx.

2. The core SynoptiXL Excel add-in synoptixl.xlam which contains all the code to interpret these SLD workbooks, activate the SynoptiXL functions within and so make them come alive.

The SynoptiXL add-in needs to be activated by an Installation ID/License key mechanism and is for the moment only available on request via our Contact form.

But here below you'll find some useful related downloads.

Note: below downloads, e.g. code-free Excel .xlsx workbooks, were scanned for viruses before uploading. However, just like for any download from internet, we highly recommend you scan downloads from our site as well. This should be routine practice. We recommend to use https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload for a scan by multiple engines.

SynoptiXL sample SLD workbook

Real deal SLD workbook with one SLD worksheet and the associated additional worksheets necessary for SynoptiXL routines. Please note that without the SynoptiXL add-in running in your Excel version, some SynoptiXL functions used in e.g. the /Interlocks/ worksheet will return an error. This is normal as these functions are programmed in the add-in code only.

SynoptiXL quick start guide (a manual of sorts)

SynpoptiXL has been written to be as self-explaining as possible, in the hope of somehow avoiding a fully fledged manual. This quick start guide could be the start of such manual. It is created in... an Excel workbook workbook. A pdf version is however also available.

SynoptiXL installation instructions

The core SynoptiXL add-in with extension .xlam is to be integrated into your Excel add-ins like any other such add-in. This file explains how.
